Today I am going to share with you an exercise that came up in one of my mentoring sessions recently. It’s a great way to help you stay centered in your daily life and feel more balanced and at peace with everything that you’re feeling. You can follow my guided meditation in the video or read the exercise below the video
Make yourself comfortable and start by taking a few deep breaths. Feel your breath going in and out of your body and feel your body relax into the chair. Focus on your grounding for a moment: create a grounding chord beneath your feet as well as below your base chakra at the base of your spine.
Imagine or think about a tube of energy running through the core of you, entering your body through your crown and going all the way down. Encompassing all the chakras and then going into the Earth through your grounding chord.
Now we’re going to create the octahedron. Focus on a point in front of you, the same height as your heart. Then a point to the right of you, behind you and to the left of you. All of these points are at least an armslength distance from your body.
See or think about lines of energy connecting these points: from the point in front of you, to your right, to your back, to your left back to the front.
Then focus on a point above your head, about an armslength above your head. Imagine or think about lines of energy connecting this point with the point in front of you, to the right of you, behind you and to the left of you. Be aware of how you are feeling as this first pyramid forms around you.
Then focus on a point about half a meter below you. This is the lower pyramid. Imagine or think about energy lines connecting this point with the point in front of you, to the right of you, behind you and to the left of you. Feel or see this second pyramid forming and be aware of how you are feeling.
Feel the centeredness and balance that comes with this. Feel how you are contained within this octahedron.
Call all of your energy back within this octahedron and allow all energies from others to leave your field through your grounding.
Then slowly come out of the meditation.
Whenever you feel overwhelmed by what you are feeling from other people in your daily life, remember to breathe, feel your body and remember this double pyramid to help you stay centered and balanced.
Please note: there are many ways to work with your energyfield to achieve this sense of centeredness and balance. All of these tools work (assuming that you are well grounded) but you have to find what works best for you.
In my course Thriving with Sensitivity I am sharing many tools with you to find your center, stay more centered in your daily life and to come back to yourself whenever you’ve gone off balance. You can find more info about Thriving with sensitivity here.
