A few days ago I recorded a video about how you can ground yourself with a simple grounding meditation and energywork. Today I’d like to add how you can ground and re-balance yourself when you do have the possibility to get out into nature. I did it this morning and it worked wonders! Being in nature is amazing for grounding and balancing your energy.

So here’s the video about how you can ground through a simple exercise/grounding meditation (and WHY it is important to ground):

And here are some suggestions that you can use to ground and re-balance when you are in nature:

Find a comfortable, quiet place that feels right for you. Usually when I take a walk there are certain trees that ‘call’ to me: they grab my attention. Pick one of those trees and lean against it, so that your entire back is touching the tree. Relax your arms or touch the tree with your hands. Breathe a few times consciously in and out of your body. Be aware of the sounds of nature around you. This will bring you into the present moment. Consciously feel the tree behind you. Imagine that you have the same kind of roots going down, and branches going out. Feel the structure and support against your back and hands.

Then focus your attention on your heart. Allow the energy around your heart to expand. See if you can connect with the tree from your heart space. Just feel the connection. Feel yourself supported by nature, by the tree and the earth.

Become aware of the silence. Let go of your thoughts. Don’t analyze the experience or think about how you’re going to tell others about it. Let all those thoughts go and just BE in the experience. Breathe it in. And most importantly, follow your own guidance and intuition. Don’t follow step A, B, C, but just relax in the moment, allowing your own intuition to guide you.

I know it’s not always convenient or comfortable to lean against a tree, for example when there are other people around and you don’t want to draw attention to yourself. What you can do in those situations is to consciously connect with a tree or plant or animal as you walk past it. You will find that your energy responds as soon as you do that, even without a single touch. Just be very aware of your body, imagine that you expand your energyfield to connect energetically with nature; and see what happens!
